JUST IN: Another plane crashes in Ilorin
Bearely 8 days after a military fighter jets crashed in Kaduna State, many passengers, including some highly-placed Nigerians, were reportedly escaped death on Saturday following a crash-landing by an aircraft in the fleet of Air Peace.
According to the report, after the aircraft crashed on Friday while landing in Ilorin from Abuja due to tyre burst and a bang which affected the cabin with luggage falling on passengers, the runway of the Ilorin International Airport has been closed to traffic while all flights to Ilorin have been canceled until the evacuation of the plane.
It was gathered that all the traumatised passengers were successfully evacuated from the runway while efforts were being made to relocate the plane from the runway.
Member of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) anonymously revealed that the authority preferred to keep the incident under under carpet.
