I can’t sacrifice my career to marry Lateef Adedimeji, says actress Adebimpe Oyebade
Popular Nollywood actress Adebimpe Oyebade, known as Mo’Bimpe, has said that she is not ready to put her career on hold to marry fellow actor Lateef Adedimeji.
Recall that the lovebirds had been harassed by rumors that they were dating but had vehemently denied it. However, a few weeks ago, they finally admitted what many already suspected they were in a relationship and would marry in December.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, Oyebade said, “Why should a woman take a career break to get married? One does not affect the other. It is not necessary for one person to suspend their career for the other as they can both work together.
Meanwhile, Mo’Bimpe also argued that marrying his colleague would not affect his career. She said: “I don’t think getting married to a fellow artist would affect my career. I will make my marriage work and last a long time being careful. I will also continue to pray.
The actress also said she was not dating Adedimeji as she publicly denied dating him. She said: “I don’t think I should come on social media and talk about my relationship. I don’t see the use of it because I’m a very private person and almost everyone knows it. I don’t expose my personal life on social media. He’s the kind of person I’ve always been. In the interview where I said I wasn’t dating Lateef Adedimeji, I wasn’t dating him at that time.
Revealing plans for the upcoming wedding, which is anticipated by many fans, Oyebade said: “We don’t have a low-key wedding because we have already invited people for it. A lot of people already know about the wedding. Members of the press are also invited.
