How Zamfara Speaker’s Father, Six Family Members Abducted
Six family members including biological Father of the Speaker State House of Assembly Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, have been reportedly abducted on Wednesday evening, OSUNREPORTERS NEWS gathered.
The heavily armed Bandits who invaded the Magarya Village in Zurmi Local Government, have successfully abducted the Speaker’s father and his Wife (the Speaker’s step mother) alongside other Five members of the family and absconded to unknown location.
According to the report, the Kidnappers stormed Magarya Village which have been facing series of attacks and abductions from the Bandits, who dominated the area and its environs.
In another finding, it was gathered that, the Bandits have earlier attackes 4 villages in same Zurmi local government area at it’s western part and abducted unspecified number of commuters along Shinkafi Kaura Namoda Road on the same day.
Confirming the urgly incident, Zamfara State Police Command through its Police Public relations officer SP Shehu Muhammad, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Hussaini Rabiu has deployed tactical operatives to the general area and it’s surroundings for extensive search and rescue operation with a view to rescuing the Speaker’s father and other kidnapped victims.
As at the time of filing this report, normalcy has restored in the area of the incident.
