How Ogun NUJ Loses State Chairman
The Chairman of the Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Soji Amosu, is dead
Amosu, a staff of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), passed on Sunday November 14 2021.
Abiodun Taiwo, the Associate Secretary of the NUJ in Ogun State affirmed the unexpected demise. Taiwo said Amosu passed on after a short illness , communicating shock over what he called “a hopeless misfortune”.
Amosu, an indigene of Oke-Metal, Yewa South Nearby Government Space of Ogun State, was brought into the world on June 22, 1968.
The alumni of Mass Communication was chosen as the Chairman of the Ogun NUJ in 2019, at a time he was finishing a residency as the Secretary of the chamber.
However his political race was broken up by the Public Leader of the NUJ, Chris Iziguzo, who said it was not in accordance with Article 5, Section 10 of the association’s constitution, Amosu moved toward the National Industrial Court and the political race was maintained in February 2021.
Soji Amosu is remembered by his wife and children.
