How British Company Paid Igboho’s Cotonou-Hamburg Ticket

The Nigerian activist and Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, paid for his flight from Cotonou-Paris-Hamburg through a British travel company.
Another investigation revealed that the ticket was paid in British pounds using a check as a payment method.

Igboho, after a raid by Foreign Ministry security at his home in Ibadan, Oyo State, had planned to travel to Germany with his family, but was arrested by Benin authorities at Cotonou airport. on July 19, 2021..
The activist was arrested at the request of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The Nigerian government later demanded that Igboho be extradited, but the Benin government rejected the request on the grounds that Igboho needed to complete his trial in the country on charges of violating travel laws.

A Yoruba human rights activist is still facing trial in Benin Republic as his lawyers continue to fight the West African government for his release.
However, a new investigation has revealed that Igboho will travel on an Air France flight from Benin to France to reunite with his family in Germany on July 19, 2021.
He will travel on an AF700, which will fly from Benin Republic to France before flying to Germany.
According to airport and airport officials, the Cotonou-Paris-Hamburg flight will depart from Cotonou Airport at 11.35pm and arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 5.20pm. evening the next day, July 20, 2021.

Igboho was expected to assemble his next flight on CDG at 09.30 am to arrive at Hamburg airport at 11:40 am later that day.


However, he was unable to land any of the planes because of his arrest by Benin authorities.
An investigation has revealed that the British travel company, which bought the ticket using a check as a payment method, claimed to have returned the ticket.
It is estimated that tickets for the Cotonou-Hamburg Trade cost £ 2,685.
