Hotel Owner Beats Security Guard To Death
The Chief Executive Officer of Noble Ocean Hotel in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, has been arrested for killing his security guard, Godstime Sunday, at the said hotel.
,,,,,,The suspect with the help of others was said to have seriously beaten up the victim that resulted in his death after robbers invaded his hotel.
….According to sources, the suspect questioned the security guard about his whereabout when robbers invaded the hotel and ordered that he be beaten up mercilessly when he was unable to give a genuine reason.
,,,,Adding that upon noticing that the security guard was bleeding profusely, he then contacted the police to come and arrest him, but unfortunately, the security guard died before the arrival of the police and the hotel owner was consequently arrested for murder.
,,,,When contacted, the police spokesman in the state, DSP Edafe Bright, confirmed the incidence, but said that the deceased, aged 31, died of machete wounds he sustained on the head.
“He was accused of stealing handsets in the hotel. While they were trying to make him confess, he was beating to a pulp with machete cuts on his head. He died in the hospital,” he said.
,,,According to him, the hotel owner “was arrested on the strength of his being the one that initiated the attack on the boy. The hotel owner is presently at the State CID in Asaba,” he added.
