Gunmen rape 2, in Kwara attack

The National Security Council (NSCDC) has confirmed that unidentified gunmen attacked Nuku village in Kaiama Local Government Area of ​​Kwara State.
This was however contained in a statement signed by the Kwara State Army Spokesperson, Mr. Babawale Afolabi, and disclosed to newsmen in Ilorin on Thursday.
Afolabi said the gunmen abducted two children from the same family and wounded the head of the household with one man with machetes.

He said the abducted girls were later released after their captors had knowledge of them.
“In the early hours of November 3, unidentified gunmen attacked Alhaji Hassan Yunusa’s residence in Nuku village in Kaiama.

Investigations also revealed that the hijackers were actually looking for money, because they had stolen all over the place and found nothing.

They attacked Alhaji Yunusa and Woru Yunusa with multiple machete wounds, taking away the two girls, but released them a few hours later.
“It was found that those who abducted the girls were aware of the flow of innocent girls,” he said.
The spokesman said the two victims were receiving treatment at a nursing home and had undergone medical tests.


However, he added that the security forces had launched an investigation to arrest the culprits and bring them to justice.
