Gunmen kidnap former deputy governor’s father
The 89-year-old father of the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere and traditional leader of the Autonomous Community of Ezi – Mbieri in Mbaitoli, local government area of Imo State , HRH, Eze Henry Madumere, on Friday, November 19, was kidnapped by a stranger. armed men in the state.
There are reports that the incident took place in the community of Iho, in the local government area of Ikeduru, state, around 10 a.m.
An eyewitness said there was gunfire by the kidnappers to scare passers-by before they kidnapped their target victim.
When Vanguard contacted former Deputy Governor Eze Madumere, he confirmed the incident and said the kidnappers contacted the family.
However, he did not give reporters details of the kidnappers’ demands before his father could be released.
