Gunmen invade Oyedepo’s church, abduct members

The news reaching the OSUNREPORTERS NEWS has it that unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits have on Monday attacked a branch of Living Faith Church Worldwide at Osara community, along Lokoja-Okene road in Adavi Local Government Council of Kogi State.

According to the report, the kidnappers, who invaded the church premises when some of its members were rehearsing during the weekend, abducted at least three members.

…….The assailants were said to have stormed the area, shooting sporadically to scare away interveners before whisking the victims to an unknown destination.

While Confirming the incident, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Habeeb Jamiu, the Adavi Local Government Council Chairman, Joseph Omuya Salami, said he had visited the scene in company of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Osara Division since the incident occured.

……He added that the council was working with security agents in the area to ensure that the victims are rescued unhurt.
