Girlfriend killed, dismembered for money ritual in Osun
….A team of Anti Kidnapping Squad of Osun State Police Command have arrested Muhideen Tunji Adebayo, Alfa Musi and one Orela for allegedly killing a middle aged lady, Ashiata Yekeen
…The deceased had earlier been declared missing for about a month before her lifeless body was discovered.
….Reports said , the police having received the report of her missing lunched a manhurt in search for her and after intensive investigation, she found dead
,,,It was learnt that the prime suspect (Muhideen Tunji Adebayo) who had earlier fled the Ileogbo was later nabbed at Lalupon, Lagelu local Government area of Oyo State and his confessional Statement let to the arrest of two other accomplices in the murder and they are being held at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department SCIID in OShogbo, Osun State.
….It was gathered that during interrogation by the police Adebayo (prime suspect) confessed to have kidnapped the deceased and the eventual murder her for ritual.
,,,,Sources within the town also confirmed to our Correspondent that the suspects took the police to inspect the place were they kill and buried her and her body was exhumed for possible autopsy examination.
….However, after , exhumation and pathological examination/autopsy was conducted by a pathologists from OAUTH, Ile-Ife, the family requested that the remains should be released to them to bury her in accordance of Islamic rites.
….Confirming the incident, the Feild Commander of Osun Amotekun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu said, “One of the sons of the victim and a friend to her mother reported the matter to us at Iwo community. Our men swung into action but before we get to the house of Ajadi he had fled. The matter was later reported to the police and the suspect was arrested at Lalupon in Oyo State.
“Ajadi killed the woman and dismembered her corpse at Ajadi Arin Village, Oke-Osun, Osun State.“
….A competent police officer who confirmed the incident said the suspects will be charged to court soon after police conclude their investigation.
…..Speaking on the killing, National president, Ile-Ogbo unity forum, Mr Anthony Owolabi condemned the act and revealed that security apparatus of the community has been intensified to ensure criminal acts are battled in the community.
….He said since the happening of the incident, series of security meetings had been held by all stakeholders in the community to map out strategies on how to tackle headlong further unforseen criminal acts in the future.
,,,,,The president who expressed optimism that, the community people would be well fortified to face criminal acts that might want to confront the community from any angle, assured that, normalcy has returned to the committee and appreciated all active participants that involved in arresting the perpetrators of the act.

He wishes and said the family has left everything into the hand of God.
,,,He however appreciated the state command anti kidnapping squared for the good investigative job done on the matter and specifically gave kudos to Inspector Afolabi for his inexplicable efforts in ensuing the arrest of the perpetrators.
