Gas Explosion kills 3, injures 15 in Lagos
Not less than three persons were reportedly to have been killed while 15 others injured yesterday in a cooking gas explosion at Ademola Adefiye area of Mile 12, Lagos.
Bala Elkana, who is the Lagos Police spokesman said the explosion left 15 persons Injured and property worth several millions destroyed by the explosion.
According to Elkana, “It was when one Chinedu was cooking that the building was gutted by fire. Both the police, fire fighters and emergency agencies successfully put off the fire and rescued 15 injured persons from the building to Gbagada General Hospital and are now in stable conditions.
“Investigation is in progress to ascertain the causes of the incident, and the properties destroyed during ugly incident.” Force spokesman concluded.
