Former Nigerian Minister Is Dead (PHOTO)
,,,,,Renowned constitutional lawyer, distinguished leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, and former minister of education, Professor Ben Nwabueze (SAN), has passed away at the age of 91. He was born in 1931 in Atani, Anambra State.
,,,,,His educational journey began at CMS Central School Atani, where he studied from 1938 to 1945. Later, in 1947, he attended C.M.S Central School, Onitsha (formerly known as African College), and concluded his studies there in 1950.
,,,,Subsequently, he pursued higher education at the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London, from 1956 to 1961. Additionally, he attended the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, from 1961 to 1962.
He served as a senior lecturer at Holborn College of Law, London, from 1962 to 1965 before returning to Nigeria. There, he continued his academic career as a senior lecturer at the University of Nigeria Nsukka from 1967 to 1970.
,,,,,In 1971, he held the positions of Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Zambia and Director of Law Practice Institute in Zambia from 1973 to 1975. Additionally, he was a member of the Senate at various universities, including Lagos, Dar-es-salaam, Nairobi, Haile Selassie in Ethiopia, Lesotho, Botswana, and Swaziland from 1971 to 1978.
