Flash: Protest Ongoing In Osun Against Increment In Fuel, Electricity Tariff
To register their dissatisfaction over the increment in electricity tariff and fuel in Nigeria, some Nigerians took to the streets of Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Friday morning to demand for retraction of the Federal Government’s decision.
As at the time of filing this report, OSUNREPORTERS NEWS confirmed that, protesters gathered at the popular Nelson Mandela Freedom park, from where they commenced the March through the streets of Osogbo.
From their agitations through different placards, the protesters described the dual approval of new electricity tariff and increment in pump price of petrol as the highest level of wickedness by the Federal Government.
Recall that the purported increments in both fuel and electricity were announced through the regulating bodies in charge of the sectors.
