FG urges Nigerians I diaspora to invest in Nigeria
The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, ABIKE DABIRI-EREWA, has asked Nigerians residing abroad to ignore the pockets of security threats in the country and double their investments at home.
DABIRI-EREWA, who made the appeal while briefing journalists on the preparation for the 4th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit billed to hold from November 16 to 17 in Abuja, stated that targeting Nigerians abroad for inward investment was the best strategy to help the country achieve economic growth and transformation.
A report by the Central Bank Of Nigeria earlier this year revealed that Foreign Direct Investment, inflow to Nigeria had dropped to 65 million dollars as of the end of last quarter of year 2020 from 780 million dollars as of the end of third quarter.
