FG Lifts Suspension on Arik Air Operations
After months of suspension, the federal government has lifted the suspension on the operations of Arik Air.
It would be recalled that the airline’s planes were grounded over a dispute between Atlas Petroleum and Arik Air.
While confirming the development, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, Michael Achimugu, said in a statement via X that the conflict has been resolved.
According to the statement: “The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, and the DG of NCAA, Capt. Chris Najomo, have successfully resolved the impasse between Arik Air and Atlas Petroleum. By this resolution, Arik Air will begin operations today.”
He added that Arik Air passengers can now check-in for scheduled flights.
