…..The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS), the government body responsible for overseeing federal social investment programs, has declared the successful conclusion of the N-Power Batch C1 program.

NASIMS also confirmed that eligible beneficiaries would receive their stipends after the resolution of ongoing payment issues.

…This announcement was made via NASIMS’ official Facebook page on Friday, November 3.

The organization clarified that the ongoing investigation was necessary to address payment failures affecting some of the program’s beneficiaries.

…..According to NASIMS, “N-Power C1 program has successfully been completed. Only those with failed payment issues will be considered. Essence of Investigation.”

….They further appealed to beneficiaries to exercise patience while awaiting the investigation’s outcome, assuring them that all eligible N-Power beneficiaries would receive their stipends upon the investigation’s conclusion.

The N-Power program is a key component of the federal government’s social investment initiatives, aimed at providing employment opportunities and skills development to unemployed graduates.

….The Batch C1 program, which commenced in October 2022, involved 510,000 beneficiaries who were slated to receive a monthly stipend of N30,000 for one year.

However, the program faced suspension in October 2023 due to payment-related issues, prompting the launch of an investigation. Some beneficiaries reported not receiving their stipends for the past eight months and appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for intervention.

Gbadebo Adesiyan, the national publicity secretary of the N-Power Batch C1 group, expressed concerns over the non-payment of stipends, highlighting the significant hardship it had caused to thousands of unemployed graduates.

…..The conclusion of the N-Power Batch C1 program represents a crucial step towards ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the support they were promised, and it underscores the government’s commitment to addressing issues and challenges faced by social investment programs. Beneficiaries are encouraged to await the results of the investigation while NASIMS works to resolve payment discrepancies and fulfill its commitment to support unemployed graduates
