Fake News! Okorocha and wife not arrested, Says EFCC
The news circulating on social media that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested former Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha, his wife Nkechi and some other members of his family is nothing but fake.
The news, shared by multiple news platforms claimed that the EFCC has sealed Okorocha’s Eastern Palm University, Ogboko, and arrested him with his immediate family members in his town.
An EFCC source confirmed to newsmen that the whole story was concocted.
In his reaction, one of Okorocha’s allies, Onwuasoanya Jones wrote on one of his social media platform; “His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha is relaxing with family members, friends, political associates and most especially, some thousands of children of the Rochas Foundation College of Africa in Owerri, Imo State.
“Those who initiated and are spreading the false report of his arrest are some paranoid political opportunists who cannot contend with the indefatigable anThendomitable spirit of the Ogboko born billionaire philanthropist and human developer per excellence,” he concluded.
