Encomium as Olorungbotemi supports indigent students, organizes seminars to mark birthday

One of the most prominent online Digital Creators and publisher of Voice Air Media, Mr. Bright Olorungbotemi, has recently given scholarships, books and stationeries to pupils of his mother’s alma mater, St. Stephen’s African Church Primary School, Oke Ijebu, Idanre as one of the activities of his Dive Out With Olorungbotemi Bright (DOWOB) Foundation to help the poor and indigent ones in the society.

The programme which saw some pupils and students in Akure, Ondo State capital and some others from St. Stephen’s African Church Primary School, Oke Ijebu in Idanre from poor families getting scholarships that entailed payment of their school fees for the term while hundreds of the pupils in the schools picked were also given customized exercise books and other school related stationeries.

In her response, Mrs Aboyewa D. S., Headmistress of St. Stephen’s African Church Primary School, Idanre lauded the donor, Mr. Bright Olorungbotemi, for helping to enhance the quality of education and help the poor ones despite not even being an old student of the school. She enjoined the old pupils of the school to help in complementing the efforts of government, staff and parents of the school in providing qualitative education for the pupils.

While speaking with Idanre Media Services, Mr. Bright Olorungbotemi, who let the programme coincided with his birthday, revealed that he had embarked on the programme as a way of giving back to the society and meant to support all stakeholders in the education sector and help needy pupils from poor homes to be educated. He further revealed that he organized a two day online seminar on ” Financial Management and Healthy Home Amidst Fuel Subsidy Removal” under the DOWOB Foundation auspices which he promised will be a yearly programme by the grace of God.

Meanwhile, Chief Dr. Anthony Omolola, the President General of Idanre Development Assembly (IDA) had, speaking on behalf of the body, Owa and the entire good people of Idanre land, in a telephone chat with Agbelusi Ganiyu of Idanre Media Services, gave kudos to Mr. Olorungbotemi for the gesture as he described education as the bedrock upon which development of any society is based.


He called on all other well meaning members of the larger Idanre society to help in giving back to the society and assured that IDA will always be supportive of any effort to make life better for all Makanres, especially in the education sector, which Idanre society cannot afford to toy with.
