Eid Ul-Adha: GDJ Felicitates The Muslim Ummah, Urges Rededicated Service To Humanity
Muslim Ummah in Kwara and beyond has been urged to rededicate selves to piety and service to humanity in the spirit of Eid ul-Adha which is about piety and sacrifice.
This sallah message was contained in a statement released Saturday in Ilorin by the Chairman of the Guild of Digital Journalists, Opeyemi, Daniel Adeoti.
According to the GDJ Chairman, Eid ul-Adha is a season of celebrating Man’s submission to Allah in piety and sacrifice.
Adeoti stated that “Sacrifices are acts of selflessness while Piety is submissiveness in worship”. He noted that more of personal, patriotic sacrifices are critical at this moment in our national life, to bring Nigeria out of the myriad of ills plaguing her.
The chairman body of Digital Journalists urged all Nigerians to take a cue from this Eid season of sacrifice to “rededicate sacrificial service to humanity in all our public lives and offices”.
