Egbedore League of Imams & Alfas Receives MUPAF on Constituency Tour

The League of Imams and Alfas in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State on Sunday received leadership of Muslim Political Awareness Front (MUPAF) during the group’s constituency tour across Osun.

The familiarization visit which took place at Awo Central Mosque in Awo community was applauded by the forum of Islamic leaders in the local government.

In his address, MUPAF national Coordinator, Alh Lukman Obembe reaffirmed the need for our Islamic leaders especially Imams to use their various platforms in reaching out to Muslims on the need to make use of our strength to seek for political power, adding that there would be balance in sharing of public asset if we elect an Islamic oriented Muslims into political offices.

He further revealed some efforts of MUPAF across Osun, the entire Southwest and Kwara States which include the formation of Political DA’wah Warriors to engage people at the grassroots across the local government areas of Osun state.

While welcoming MUPAF on behalf of League Imams and Alfas in Egbedore Local Government, Imam Najimdeen Adeboye who is the League Chairman and Chief Imam of Iragberiland, thanked MUPAF and prayed for Allah’s blessings to crown every effort of the group.

Also speaking, Alfa Buliaminu Moshood who acknowledged the existence and impact of MUPAF in Egbedore and Osun State at large, gave kudos to the leadership of the group for coming out at this time to champion such agenda that will be of benefit to all.

Alfa Buliaminu, however, charged MUPAF to reach out to more communities and villages, adding that the impact will corroborate the effort of Imams and Alfas in their various constituencies.

The constituency tour which started in October is aimed to familiarize and emphasize the aims and objectives of the Islamic cum politically inclined group to Muslim leaders on the need to use our strength across Osun to seek political power.

This, MUPAF believes will positively change the socio-economy situation if we have true Muslims at the various helms of governance.

Some members of MUPAF including the Political Da’wah Warriors in Egbedore Local Government led by the Coordinator, Alfa Agboola Adamo Alabi welcomed the state leadership to Awo.
