Edo 2024: Obaseki Betrayed Me – Shaibu Laments

The political bitter war between Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Philip Shaibu, seemed not to be ending any time soon.

……..Shaibu, in an interview recently, lamented that Obaseki betrayed him, stating that he added value in terms of political value, finances and political structure for Obaseki’s second term.

He also claimed that Obaseki is using taxpayers’ money to procure support for his preferred candidate.

Shaibu said: “The governorship of Edo State will not want an outsider, and the governor is trying to bring an outsider, we will resist it. I’m contesting this election not for the fluke but my people are interested in it.”
