“Easter teaches us about sacrifice for the common good” – ITK

A popular Social Entrepreneur in Osun State, Ibrahim Taofeeq Kayode (ITK), has said that the season of Easter teaches us about the need for individuals to make sacrifices for the common good of their race and Nation. The business mogul who is also aspiring for the Federal House of Representatives seat in Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun Federal Constituency, made this known in a statement he released to reporters on the celebration of Easter, wherein he sent warm greetings to Christians.

While congratulating the Christian community in the statement issued on Saturday, The Osogbo born construction and automotive expat urged all Nigerians, no matter their location, to reflect on the lessons and essence of the season, make sacrifices and selfless contributions toward the advancement of the country.

He said “we all are jointly responsible for the growth and advancement of our Nation. What the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ teaches us in this regard, is that we all must make personal sacrifices for the development that we desire in the society, just as Jesus sacrificed himself as atonement for the sin of the world.”

“I send special compliments of the season to my Christian brothers and sisters across Irepodun/Olorunda/Orolu/Osogbo Federal Constituency, Osun State and Nigeria. As the world marks Easter celebration which revolves around the teachings of love and sacrifices for others as exemplified by Jesus Christ, I pray we are all divinely inspired to contribute to the growth and development of our Nation”.

“As we celebrate in this joyous season, it is my passionate appeal to the Christian faithful to remember our State and Nigeria in prayer for divine guidance and breakthrough over challenges facing our nation,” the statement concluded.


Ibrahim Taofeeq Kayode, popularly known as ITK, is aspiring on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, to represent Irepodun/Olorunda/Orolu/Osogbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
