Diamond FM’s Mr Gbewonrin Shines, Wins ‘Big’ At YOMAFA Global Awards

Diamond FM Yoruba Sports Presenter, Akogun Yunus Abiodun, famously known as Mr Gbewonrin, has emerged winner of Best Sport Radio Broadcaster of year at the 2023 YOMAFA Global Awards.
Mr Gbewonrin defeated other nominees in the Best Sport Radio Broadcaster category with thousands of votes to take home the trophy at the event held at Ostra Hall, Off Jobifele Way, Ikeja Alausa, Lagos State, Nigeria.
The Ibadan born sport icon who is a staff of Diamond 88.7 FM Ilorin Kwara State, expressed his joyous mood while speaking with the OsunReporters News Correspondents on Friday, thanked the organizer of the Award for identify and celebrate his talent. He also thanked the Chairman, Management and Staff of Diamond FM for the opportunity given to him to showcase his talent to the world.
While speaking, Yomafa Global Chairman, Gbenga Leo Taiwo, said the Media category of the Awards was organised to celebrate passion for excellence, integrity and professionalism in media circle, adding that the award was put together to redefine the culture of Nigeria and Africa to the global world to be the vanguard of our culture through YOMAFA.
Outstanding individuals, organisations and some living legends across Nigeria who have impacted the society through their various callings were honoured at the 2023 YOMAFA Awards Season 16 held on Thursday, 26 of October, 2023.
