COVID-19: Two die of Delta Variant
that one person is also isolated and receiving medical attention at one of the state isolation facilities
Two persons have been lost to the new Delta variant of the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, in Oyo State.
The state Incident Manager and Coordinator of the Emergency Operations Centre, Dr. OLABODE LADIPO, who confirmed the development yesterday, noted that one person is also isolated and receiving medical attention at one of the state isolation facilities, while contact tracing has started.
LADIPO said the variant would have entered into the state through movement of people travelling around the world, and urged people to take more seriously Covid-19 guidelines and extra measures advice, noting that adhering to such would go a long way to help stem the tide.
