Court Orders Arrest Of Popular Osun Online Publisher

The news reaching the OSUNREPORTERS NEWS has it that an Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo on Friday, 22nd October, 2021 issued a warrant of arrest for a popular Osun based Facebook blogger identified as Moshood Qaudri, for allegedly disrespecting the court.

…. According to the report, the victim is facing a three count charge on defamation and breach of public peace in case number; MOS/300c /2021, and refused to appear in court on two consecutive occasions

…..In his ruling, the Magistrate, Olusegun Ayilara, had ordered the arrest of the blogger due to the magnitude of the offence committed.

…..Meanwhile, the State Prosecuting Counsel, Mr .O. Akintayo had earlier told the court that the defendant committed the offence within the Osun State High Court premises, Osogbo.

…..Akintayo said the defendant popularly known as “Yessaloonaka” had jumped bail in a criminal defamation case initiated against him, thereby, disrespecting the court, revealing that Quadri made a live video of himself on Facebook where he made defamatory comments and remarks on notable Islamic dignitaries for no justifiable reason.

……Pending his appearance in court, the case was however adjourned by the Magistrate to October 29 for hearing.
