Court Convicts Naira Marley For Floating COVID-19 Rules
An Abuja mobile court has fined Hip-hop singer, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley the sum of N200,000 for violating the COVID-19 guidelines on June 13, 2020.
The development happened after Marley pleaded guilty on Friday to a four-count charges filed against him by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) against coronavirus guidelines.
The fine was handed down by Magistrate Idayat Akanbi after Marley pleaded guilty to the charge.
The concert held at the Jabi Lake Mall attracted public condemnation, with many, who attended breaking protocols at the peak of the coronavirus pandemic.
Recall that Naira Marley was said to have flown in a chartered plane initially meant to convey a Lagos judge to the Federal Capital Territory for a concert on July 13 this year.
