BREAKING: Niger State Commissioner For Information Reportedly Kidnapped
The news reaching the OSUNREPORTERS NEWS has it that the Niger state Commissioner for information, Alhaji Muhammed Sanni Idris has been reportedly abducted by bandits.
According to the report, Idris was kidnapped in the early hours of Monday 9th August, 2021 at his country-home of Baban Tunga in Tafa Local Government Area of the state.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, confirmed the incident, explaining that the information commissioner was abducted around 1:00am in his home town. SSG assured the general public that security operatives have launched trail of the abductors.
In his words, “He was kidnapped in the early hours of today around 1am at Baban tunga in Tafa local government. Security are already on the trail of the kidnappers, we hope they would discover him soon and rescue him unharmed,” Ibrahim Matane said.
As at the time of filing this report, the abductors are yet to contact any of his family members fir any demand.
