BREAKING NEWS: N-power Volunteers Meet Forum Of Focal Persons, Demand Clarification On Exit Plan, Disengagement of Volunteers, Divice Collection, Others (watch video)

Following the recent information on the disengagement of 200,000 N-power beneficiaries across the state of the Federal, the representatives of the N-power beneficiaries from 36 states of the federation including FCT met with the National Chairman of SIP Focal Persons’ Forum, Malam Bala Usman Chamo in Jigawa State to seek clarification on the exit news in circulation.

According to the information made available to OsunReporters News in Osogbo on Saturday by the Osun State N-power Ambassador, Comrade Akande Gbogboade, stating that Malam Bala Usman made it known that no beneficiary will go back to the street to beg for job anymore.

After congratulating him on his recent appointment as SIP Chairman, Forum of Focal Persons’ , issues affecting beneficiaries were raised by the Acting National Coordinator of N-power State Ambassadors, Comrade Kabiru Aliyu Pelemi amongst which are exit package, transition Icon, Device for batch ‘B’ volunteers, Resigning of beneficiaries from the scheme by the officials without the knowledge of the affected beneficiaries.

“My name is Comrade Kabiru Aliyu Pelemi Acting National Coordinators of 36 state and Abuja FC coordinators forum

“First and foremost I want to express my profound gratitude to Almighty Allah who make it possible for us to gather here today, we duly acknowledged Mr President for the charisma of initiating and implementing the npower program that put a lasting smiles on our faces today. Which the whole world recognised impart on Nigeria youth and economy.
I acknowledged and thank Hon. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and social investment programme for creating the office of Chairman for focal persons forum. Npower beneficiaries believed with this development the program will move to the next level. She is really exemplary leader who is ready to carry every body along.

“I want to appreciate our amiable and capacitated Chairman of Focal Persons Forum who have Nigeria youth in heart, that explain why you were given a prestigious award as most active state focal person of the federation follow by glamorous office as chairman focal person forum. Despite your tight schedule you accept our courtesy visit, sir your kind gesture toward state coordinators forum is appreciated.

“We would like to make this appeal for the development of npower programme in Nigeria.

1. Npower state representatives should be recognise by the ministry

Sir, We appeal through your office as the Chairman of Focal Persons Forum to the ministry to recognise Npower volunteers Representative for each state in the administration and included in payroll by the ministry.

2. visitation to the Minister

We also count on you to tender our appeal to the Hon Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development for a courtesy visit.

Sir, we need clarification on the following issues
1. Exit package plan which was once mention but up till now no conclusion is made about it
2. Transition icon once appeared, some beneficiaries have access to it but disappeared when majority have not attempted
3. 2017 batch B device that has long being awaiting.
4. Npower teams resigning beneficiaries without their awareness.

“Conclusion, in your noble position, we count on you as our father who will admonish us. With you we are optimistic that the sky is our starting point in achieving our aspirations in this forum.”

Malam Bala Usman promised to relay the request to the Minister in charge of the SIP for immediate action. The state ambassadors however made it known that the request to meet the honourable minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disasters Management and Social Development, Mrs Sadya Umar Farouq already sent to her office.
