Babayemi, Ogunbiyi Withdraw From Osun PDP Guber Primaries
Two Governorship candidates of the People’s Democratic Party in Osun State, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi and Price Dotun Babayemi have withdrawn from tomorrow’s governorship primary of the party.
While addressing a press conference in their separate location in Osogbo on Monday, Ogunbiyi cited the National Secretariat barriers and planned violence against his supporters on Tuesday as the reason for his withdrawal, while Babayemi said there is already made planned by some people within the party to install a particular aspirant as the party candidate in tomorrow’s primary election.
“It is a very difficult decision for me because of the amount of investment and the hope that my personality and leadership would have given to Osun State.”
