Ataoja Announces 2019 Osun Osogbo Festival, Grand Procession Holds August 16

The Paramount ruler of the ancient city of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun (Larooye ll), has disclosed the date of the Osun Osogbo Festival 2019 grand procession to the sacred Osun Grove to hold on the 16th August, 2019.

The custodian of the festival, Oba Larooye said that the annual festival’s grand finale programs will hold between August 11 and 16, 2019 while the pre-festival events commence from June 16 to Friday, August 9, 2019.

OSUN REPORTERS gathered over the weekend that a tourism, art and culture consulting firm, Esquire Global has been engaged to market and organise the festival.

The custodian of the Osun Osogbo, Oba Larooye, calling on the people across the country and all over the world to join him in celebrating the Osun festival; the story and origin started over 700 years ago, added that the healing power of the Osun Osogbo deity remains intact.
