Aregbesola’s men canvasses support for Oyetola
A former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Dr Najeem Salam has called on his teeming supporters in Ejigbo land and across Osun State to troop out enmass and vote for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the next week governorship election.
Addressing a crowd of his supporters who came to welcome him in Ejigbo, Salaam said as a founding member of the APC, he remained solid with the party and his supporters will go to wherever he goes.
The former Speaker said since Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is the candidate of the party, he must be supported, urging his supporters to continue to work for the party.
On reconciliation move by Governor Oyetola, Salam confirmed that the process was ongoing.
“I listened to the comment of His Excellency on television a few days ago and he talked about the efforts been made to reconcile with those that are not on the same page with him to come to the party, reconciliation with the governor is still ongoing as to end all these crisis within our party.”
He expressed confidence that APC would win the next saturday governorship election.
“It is not a new thing that we are always winning the state, I am always confident that APC will win the 2022 governorship election. It will be a repeat of what we always do which is winning.”
Also speaking at the meeting, a member of the National Population Commission, Senator Mudashiru Hussain urged members of the party to work embark on a house-to-house campaign to ensure that the APC remains in power by winning the gubernatorial polls on July 16.
Senator Hussain noted that the party had done considerably well to earn the vote of the people, starting from Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who laid a solid foundation to the present Governor Oyetola who is following the steps.
On his part, a member of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Kunle Oyekunle remarked that Ejigbo was a traditional political base of the Progressives and it was sure that the party would win the election.
