APC chieftain slumps, dies in church (Photo)

Information reaching the OsunReporters News confirmed that a top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Chief Obinna Atuonwu is dead.

According to reports, he died on Sunday, 21st April, 2024 during a church service at the age of 65.

The deceased had reportedly attended a church service in Aba; the commercial capital of the state and was addressing the congregation when he collapsed.

While narrating how the incident happened, the only brother of the deceased, Dr. Chiedozie Atuonu said that on that fateful day, he got a call to rush to Aba from Umuahia where he was, adding that the caller told him that his late brother was feeling critically ill and needed urgent medical attention.

He further noted that, upon arrival, he discovered that his brother’s condition was critical and he was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead.

At the time OK f writing this report, his remains has been deposited at the morgue while burial arrangement still sketchy.
