Àmòtékùn Intercepts Marijuana Crossers In Osun (photos)

Since his appointment as Director General of Amotekun Corps in Osun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu has been mobilising his men to support the conventional security officers on duty during the covid-19 lockdown especially in the borders across Osun state.

Victim: Lekan Olabode

According to the report, a motorcyclist was on high speed coming from Ibadan in the early hours of Friday, 1st of May, 2020 after he had beat first security men at the Asejire boarder between Oyo and Osun States was caught with marijuana at Ikoyi junction.

The rider, identified as Lekan Olabode was unfortunate with men of Àmòtékùn Corps at Ikoyi, when he somersaulted severally while he was trying to outsmart the team at the road block after men of Amotekun Corps discovered the content in his bag as marijuana (weed) which the rider aimed to deliver to unknown location.

The leader of Àmòtékùn Corps on duty notified Chairman of Irewole local government, Alhaji Aderemi Abbas who is also Chairman of the Area Task Force Team, he personally took the culprit to the hospital after he reported the matter to Divisional Police Officer of Nigeria Police, Apomu Divisional Command.

As at the time of filling this report, OSUNREPORTERSN NEWS gathered that the victim is gradually responding to treatment from the injuries sustained and will be charged to Court after recuperation from his current status.
