Akeredolu imposes 24-hour curfew on Ondo community

The governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, ordered the imposition of a twenty-four hour curfew on Igbara-Oke, seat of the Ifedore council zone of the state.

The curfew was a sequel to the violence that characterized the outcome of a city council by-election in the council area.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s chief press secretary Richard Olatunde in Akure Ondo state.
Akeredolu said the order was effective immediately.

The governor said that “All security agencies are urged to strictly enforce this order.


He stressed that “In the same vein, traditional chiefs, opinion leaders and all people of good will are enjoined to restrain their wards because failure to comply with this curfew ordinance will not be effective. tolerated.
