Air Vice Marshal, Maisaka (Rtd) is dead
Former Vice Marshal M. M. Maisaka (Rtd) has been shot dead by gunmen at his residence in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to a report the deceased was killed at his residence on Monday night when the assailants attacked his house and killed them.
The news of their deaths came from one of the general’s sons who posted a message on social media on Tuesday morning saying, “Innallillahi wa innailaihir raijun… please pray for my father (Air vice marshal maisaka addu ‘. in). He was killed at his home yesterday (Monday) at his residence ”
It was also learned that the late Air Force General was one of the most experienced nurses in the country before he fell ill some time ago, and went to India to seek medical treatment before returning to the country two months ago.
A family source, who asked not to be named, said his killing may not be linked to terrorism in the country, which is seen as a hostage state.
“Yes, you know, militants have attacked our society many times. But while he was alive he did his best to thwart their attacks on several occasions. They did not feel comfortable, the source said
Reports said he had been sent a threatening message about two weeks ago, and the content of the message indicated that he would be executed on Monday night.
It was also revealed that a threatening message had been reported to the police and other security officials.
As of press time, neither the police nor the security agencies had issued a statement.
