Again, Olubadan Turndown Invitation To Grand Reception In Honour Of Ajimobi (see reason)
Second in command to the Olubadan of Ibadan (Otun Olubadan), Oba ‘Lekan Balogun, has maintained that the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji was duly notified about the grand reception organized by the Olubadan-in council for outgoing governor Abiola Ajimobi.
According to Oba Balogun saying that the Ramadan fast may have weakened Olubadan and there might be need for him to rest since he is of age.
Otun Olubadan said, “Olubadan-in-Council duly notified the King of the plan to organise a grand reception in appreciation of the outgoing Governor, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi for his contributions to Ibadanland.”
“His absence might has to do with the Ramadan fast, because there might be need for him to take a rest as an old person.”
OSUN REPORTERS observed that the Olubadan had on several occasions refrained from attending events where the recently elevated eleven Obas from the position of High Chiefs to monarchs in Ibadan by Governor Ajimobi led government.
