The Osogbo Born Engineer cum philanthropist, Engineer Kehinde Raji Aaraj has broken silence on his political involvement and support for Governor Ademola Adeleke in the last Osun State Gubernatorial election.

Aaraj, who made it known that he did not support political parties but supported the aspiration of Senator Ademola Adeleke who is personable about how to develop Osun to become Governor of the state in order to unseat the former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola from office.

“I supported Adeleke for the benefits of the citizens of Osun as whole, according to him Adeleke’s predecessor didn’t match up to the standard of the governance Osun people deserved and it was obvious during Oyetola’s 4 years in office” Aaraj said.

He further stated that without an atom of doubt, his support for Governor Ademola Adeleke whom he believe is going to work with the pace required for the development of Osun will not be regretted, adding that his early intervention brought significant impact on appointments made by the governor Adeleke especially for Osogbo with the largest voting capacity.

He urged people to remain calm and never judge or rate Adeleke’s administration yet because it sounds bad to rate the success of the government which is into the 10th month of its 4 years tenure but could be judged after twelve to eighteen months.

When asked if he will officially join politics or expect an appointment from Ademola Adeleke’s government, Aaraj said; “My philanthropic deeds have nothing to do with being in any political party. I support individuals but I am not a member of any political party. Human Capacity Development is what I am interested in. Enough of politics, let us build people, let’s start changing the narrative. My philanthropic gesture is not politically inclined, rather it is for touching lives and empowering people. All am asking for is for the government to do the needful in terms of attending to the needs of our people, especially Osogbo which is my primary constituency.”

Raji Kehinde further averred that his empowerment foundation only seeks for the success of the citizens with no hidden agenda.

“Success of my people is all I want. People are free to say whatever they want to say. I am not chasing political posts within the next three years or thereabouts. God is my witness, I do not have any political position in mind. It is not in my project for now, my project is to let us alleviate poverty. I know a lot of politicians are scared that I have the ambition to pursue any political career but I am not interested. I am blessed and bigger than any political appointment,” Aaraj added.
