OGUN GUBER TRIBUNAL: AGF congratulates Dapo Abiodun, wants sanction for indisciplined party members
Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, a socio political group propagating and promoting the ideology of APC national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Ogun state Governor, Mr Dapo Abiodun over his victory at the state election petition tribunal.
AGF in a statement released by it’s national secretary Ibrahim Alli-Balogun in Abuja on Monday, described the judgement as victory for doggedness, integrity and loyalty.
The group said the election of Dapo Abiodun is an electoral revolution against indiscipline and defeat of proverbial Goliath in the politics of Ogun state.
AGF, urged the Governor to prioritise the welfare of the people and do everything to wipe the tears of the masses of Ogun state noting that “Your election is an opportunity to use your experience in private sector to lift people of Ogun state out of poverty”
Alli-Balogun in the statement, recommend sanction against anybody who is guilty of anti-party activities in the last election, in order to serve as deterrent to anybody that indulges in such in the future.
“The experience of Ogun and the unruly acts by some elements to rubbish the party which gave them the platform for their political aspirations should not go without stiff punishment for those involved.”
“We want the party hierarchy at the national level to look into the gross misconduct and anti-party exhibited by some leaders of the party and deal with them in line with the party’s constitution,” he concluded.
