Dekam Is a Magnanimous Politician, spending five-times his monthly allowance on people” – OYEGOKE

The leadership of a sociopolitical group within the All Progressives Congress in Osogbo local government known as DEKAM GROUP has described the founder and General Overseer of the group, Hon. Kamarudeen Bamidele Olusola who is the Deputy Leader of the Osogbo Local Government Parliament representing Ward 14-B in the Council as a politician with difference.

This remark was made by the Coordinator of the group, Mr. Oyegoke Moshood after the weekly meeting in Osogbo on Friday 14th June, 2019 where he on behalf of the group lauded the achievement of the council’s parliament deputy leader.

Oyegoke also described Dekam as ‘giver of all-time’ even before his participation in active politics. He noted that if the names of those who have one way or the other benefited from Dekam’s magnanimity were to be published, some political office holders in the state and at Federal level may not match his record.

While mentioning some of his philanthropic records as a local government parliamentarian, Oyegoke sited the unforgettable role played by Hon. Kamarudeen Bamidele before the then ward 14 could be deliminated into two (14-A & 14-B) during his appointment as member of the Osogbo Local Government Caretaker Committee.

According to Oyegoke, “We are always proud of Hon. Kamarudeen Bamidele for him to have hail from Osogbo especially ward 14, we are now producing two councillors from ward 14 in his effort, I know God almighty will provide a wider platform for him to use his political sagacity in developing the entire Osogbo and beyond.”

The Coordinator of Dekam Group also explained that during the 51st birthday of Hon. Kamarudeen and one year in office as an elected parliamentarian organized by the Central Working Committee of the group, 51 selected members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 10 wards in Osogbo Local Government, Party Leaders, Chairmen and Women Leaders benefited from the items like Generator, Standing Fans, Stoves, Clippers, Irons among other materials distributed as means of giving back to the people of his constituency on the 13th February, 2019.

“Hon. Dekam is a kind of person that doesn’t want another person to be aware of the good deed he has done for the other person, he spent five times of his monthly salary as a parliamentarian. We always pray to God almighty for his elevation in both politics and his profession. Indeed, we are proud of him,” Oyegoke added.

Dekam Group has been in existence since 2013 within the progressive cycle in Osun, the group is one of the active participants during the 2014 guber, 2015, 2018 and 2019 general election campaigns in Osogbo Federal Constituency and Osun State at large.
