“Despite Criticising Buratai’s methods of operation, he sees me as credible critic, Says Journalist Hangout is informative on military matters” – Babajide Otitoju
An ace Journalist and Group Comptroller of the Current/Public Affairs at Television Continental (TVC), Lagos State, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju has described the Nigeria Army Chief, Lt-General Tukur Yusuf Buratai as humble, full of respect and understanding General.
He made this known through one of his social media platforms ‘Facebook’ (Babajide Kokade-Otitoju) on Sunday, where he shared his experience during the last visit to the Nigeria Army Headquarters.
The highly versatile journalist, Babajide, explained how he was treated with honour and respect by the Army Chief and other Generals who described one of the most wildly watched current affairs television programmes on TVC News, ‘Journalist Hangout’, as very informative on military matters, OSUN REPORTERS gathered.
Babajide Otitoju wrote, “Lt-General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (left) greeting me during my last visit to Maiduguri. With us were Major General Benson Akinroluyo, Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole and Major General Lamidi Adeosun.
“I saw in the army chief a General so humble and full of respect for me and Journalists Hangout, a programme he described as very informative on military matters.
“I was filled with pride that despite the fact that I criticise Buratai’s methods regularly, he sees me as a credible critic. He knows I am doing if for my country. We both want the best for our country.”
The erudite journalist, Otitoju While lauding the efforts of the Nigerian Soldiers in curbing the insurance in our land, the erudite Journalist optimistically promised to wildly celebrate the defeat of Boko Haram in Nigeria.
“The day we defeat Boko Haram l will celebrate wildly. If we earn that victory during Buratai’s extended tenure it would have been thoroughly deserved because Boko Haram once set ablaze his parents house, even after he became army chief.
“So many soldiers have sacrificed their lives in the past four years of our very much hit and miss war against a dangerous enemy. God bless the Nigerian Army” he added.
Recall that Babajide had spent seven-day during his visit to army troops in Borno State in December 2018 where he fly two missions with the airforce to experienced the Mi-35, the Nigerian airforce’s most lethal killer machine.
