Oyetola Is The Current Champion, I Have No Issue With Him – Aregbesola
The immediate past Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has dispelled insinuation on the current rancour between him and his successor, Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola.
He made the clarification over the weekend in Osogbo during the 4th colloquium lecture marking his 62th birthday anniversary, enjoined the people to disregard any allegation of brigandage relationship between him and the current Governor
The former governor, who spoke at the event said, “Let me salute the current champion in the State of Osun, Governor Oyetola, and I must clear the air that there is no brigandage between me and the present government. The current government is as a result of our unfettered commitment, resolve and effort. We cannot but continue to pray for the progress of what we laboured and strived for.
“Oyetola is my senior brother who is senior to me in all ramifications. He has achieved a lot in his personal life before having a stint at all in government.
“So, there’s nothing meaningful in me having any issues with him. Let the detractors know that there can only be peace within us and the state.”
According to the rumor, OSUN REPORTERS gathered that a rift existed between Aregbesola and Oyetola over the zoning of the party’s executive positions following the forthcoming state congress of the ruling party, APC, and the body language of the current government to stop the Oranmiyan group founded by Aregbesola.
