Lagos Assembly Speaker, Obasa Impeached
News reaching the OsunReporters News confirmed that the thirty-two lawmakers of the Lagos State House of Assembly have impeached their Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa.
According to reports, the development comes amid allegations of corruption and financial mismanagement against the speaker.

Hon Mojisola Melanda Ojora was immediately sworn in as the the new Speaker.
It should be recalled that Obasa has been accused of spending N17 billion on a gate to the assembly complex, which critics argue is excessive and fraudulent.
There have also been allegations of mishandling constituency funds and projects.
