Former INEC commissioner dies (Photo)
Information reaching the OsunReporters News confirmed that a former national commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Ahmed Alghazali is dead.
According to reports, the former Nigerian ambassador to Iran and Saudi Arabia passed away at the age of 84.
_____According to reports, he served as INEC national commissioner during the June 12 presidential election that was eventually annulled by former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida.
_____The elder statesmen was also a permanent secretary and head of service of the Borno State Civil Service.
Algazali later became chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission before retiring in 2011.
_____The news of his death was announced by his one of his sons, Abdulhamid Al-Gazali, on social media.
Reports further revealed that he will be buried today at Gazali Family Masjid in Fezzan Ward, Maiduguri, according to Islamic rites
