More traders empowered as Agboluaje Kajola Foundation launches free interest loan programme in Ondo community

Traders in Ondo town erupted into joy as Agboluaje Kajola Foundation launched its free interest loan programme in the ancient city.

The initiative aims to empower local businesses and alleviate financial burdens on society.

The non-governmental organization, Agboluaje Kajola Foundation, was founded by Dr. Kayode Adegbulugbe and Asiwaju Olusegun Akintade to reduce poverty in Nigeria.

A delegate team led by Dr. Bakare Oladimeji and Project Manager Akintunde Akintade said the foundation aim is to empower local businesses and improve economic development.

They said, “Our mission is to alleviate poverty and promote economic growth. We are committed to supporting traders and entrepreneurs in Ondo town.”
“The foundation has recorded a success in Osun State on free interest loan programme and we are here also to demonstrate the same thing in Ondo town”.

Speaking, the Iya Loja General of Ondo Kingdom, Chief Mrs. Oluwabukolami Akinniyi commended the Agboluaje Kajola Foundation for its innovative free interest loan programme aimed at empowering local businesses.

Akinniyi assured the foundation that traders at Moferere Oja Oba Ondo Market will not disappoint them, pledging cooperation and adherence to the cooperative’s guidelines.

“Appreciation is key to achieving great things, I applaud Agboluaje Kajola Foundation’s good intentions and pray God continues to strengthen them.
“The impact of this free interest loan can not be overstated. We pay substantial interest monthly at the usual cooperative society, and this initiative will bring significant relief,” Iyaloja general stated.

Meanwhile, Eyiwumi Akinseye, a garri seller at Ondo’s Moferere Market, described Agboluaje Kajola Foundation as a lifesaver for introducing a free interest cooperative to them.

She said,’We have struggled with high-interest loans from various cooperative societies, hindering our ability to care for our children.

“High-interest loans have stifled our growth, but Agboluaje Kajola Foundation’s intervention would empower us to care for our children and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic development.
We’re grateful for their support and Iya Loja General’s leadership.” She said

Similarly, Chairman of Motorcycle at Town Hall junction, Egi Palace, Ondo town, Idowu Ifedayo, expressed enthusiasm about joining Agboluaje Kajola Foundation’s programme
Ifedayo said that members of Egi Palace junction, biker men are very happy to participate in the free interest loan programme.

“My people are excited when I informed them about Agboluaje Kajola Foundation, and I can assure timely refunds, as I know their capabilities. This NGO’s support is impressive, and I trust our people will repay, proving their commitment to growth, he said.

However, the Chairman of Tricycle in Ondo town, Fawehinmi Okikiola, said that the programme arrived at the perfect time to ease their association’s financial struggles.

Okikiola said, “We assure prompt refunds and commitment to the programme rules, and we want to appreciate you for counting us worthy.

The General Chairman of Cows Slaughter Association, Prince Adegoroye Adefenwa Olusola, noted that Agboluaje Kajola Foundation’s programme will enable butchers to retain profits for personal use, rather than paying interest.

Adefenwa commended the initiative, saying it will empower members to grow their businesses and utilize profits for personal development.

He prayed for the foundation’s success.
A representative of Medicine Store Association, Akinrinola Priscilla praised Agboluaje Kajola Foundation’s initiative, saying it will enable business expansion.

Akinrinola said, “This programme will strengthen our members’ businesses,”


“We appreciate Agboluaje Kajola Foundation’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs.”
