Amidst controversy surrending the sale of “miracle” water and soap, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) says it is currently investigating the sale of “miracle” water and soap at Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, led by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.

It was revealed by the food and drug regulatory agency in a statement issued on Sunday, accused the church of falsely using its name to deceive the public.

,,,,According to a statement from NAFDAC signed by its Director General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, none of the products being marketed and sold by the church have been registered with the agency.

According to the agency: “NAFDAC wishes to alert the public about the activities of a faith-based organization, Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, which is using NAFDAC’s name to mislead unsuspecting individuals.

,,”Recently, NAFDAC has received numerous petitions from concerned citizens regarding Senior Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin of Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, located at Km 5 Effurun, Sapele Road, Delta State, concerning a ‘Miracle Water’ and ‘Miracle Soap’ being advertised with healing and miracle claims and sold to unsuspecting members of the public by the Spiritual Ministry.

“The Minister has promoted the use of ‘Miracle Water’ and ‘Miracle Soap’ on social media, claiming they….can heal barrenness, and that women using the products would conceive twins.

,,,,,”He even told his congregation that the soap is registered with NAFDAC, prompting members of the public to visit NAFDAC offices to verify these claims. “Petitioners have also submitted several products from the Spiritual Ministry to NAFDAC for verification.

____These include: ‘Miracle & Healing Water,’ ‘River Jordan Water,’ ‘Miracle Water from The Pool of Bethsaida,’ ‘A New Beginning Mount Carmel Miracle Water,’ ‘Water of Life,’ ‘Miracle Water from The Pool of Bethsaida’ (1L), ‘A New Beginning Pool of Bethsaida Water,’ and ‘Father Smelled Perfume.'”
