4 Killed, Corps Members, Others Injured In Osun Road Crash
It was a tragic scene when dour travellers died as twenty others sustained injuries in a multiple accident in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
According to reports, the accident along Osun/Ondo road via Joseph Ayo Babalola University(JABU) involved three vehicles.
According to a video circulating on social media, many wounded passengers including two corps members in uniform were seen lying down on the floor, some of them dead.
While reacting to the accident, the Osun State Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Taofeek Sokunbi, blamed the incident on the carelessness of the drivers.
According to him; “The accident occurred three days ago. Four people died and twenty people were injured. The accident___occurred when there was a speed breaker.
“I want to urge drivers to drive carefully on the road because the accident was caused by over speeding. The accident was carelessness on the path of the driver.“
At the time of filing this report, the injured victims have been taken to the hospital for medica attention.
