Olubadan To Crown Ladoja As Oba
Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, is expected to coronate former Oyo state governor, High Chief Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on Monday (today).
According to reports, the prestigious ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan.
,,,,,,,Reports also revealed that the event marks a significant moment in the annals of Ibadanland, as High Chief Ladoja, a revered figure in the community and former governor of Oyo State, is set to be bestowed with this honor.
The entire Ibadanland is expected to agog with celebrations as dignitaries, traditional rulers, and well-wishers from across the country converge on the ancient city to witness the coronation.
It should be recalled that Ladoja had earlier rejected the beaded crown as a subordinate king in Ibadanland, focusing on the stool of Olubadan. But the new process of Oyo Traditional Gazette has mandated the High ranking Olubadan-in-council to be crowned as subordinate king before ascending Olubadan stool.
