Slain NSCDC Officer, ‘Kenwask’ who died in Osun Communal crisis buried in Osogbo amid tears

Shittu Wasiu Kehinde popularly known as Kenwask, an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun State Command, who was killed on Teusday has been buried.

The deceased was laid to rest on Wednesday in Osogbo in line with Muslim rite following a short prayer held in his honour in a tearful gathering where family members, colleagues, and sympathisers were in attendance.

OsunReporters News recalls that Kehinde was killed by hoodlums while on duty during a communal squabbles that erupted between Orile Owu and Araromi Owu communities in Ayedaade Local Government Area of the State on Tuesday where Kehinde died on the spot while another officer of the agency sustained varying degrees of injuries.

In the Obaship selection tussle, one of the palaces in the affected communities was razed down by hoodlums as peace took flight in the areas.

At the time of filing this report, security opratives have restored peace in the area.
