UI Students Protest Fee Hike, Power Supply
In reaction to the decision of the management regarding electricity supply, and fee hikes among others, atudents of the University of Ibadan (UI) have taken to the streets, to protest.
According to reports, the protest which started in the late hours of Tuesday, continued on Wednesday with the students baring placards at the front of the university gate, barricaded the main entrance of the Institution, preventing vehicular movement into the University.
Students in their numbers were seen carrying placards, and sitting on the access road to the main gate while another set of students converged on the Trenchard Hall premises chanting various songs to register their protest.
At the time of filing this report, no official response from the school management over the ongoing protest.
