Monarch arrested for allegedly threatening Judge
The Eze Risi Ohia-Emeri Abali of Rebisi, His Royal Highness, Eze Cyprian Amadi-Worenwu, has been arrested by the detectives from the Rivers State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over accusations of threatening retired Justice Adolphus Enebeli and his family members.
According to reports, Eze Amadi-Worenwu allegedly threatened retired Justice Enebeli’s life following a judgment against him on March 28, 2023, in a traditional chieftaincy case.
However, Retired Justice Enebeli lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police, alleging that instead of appealing the judgment, Eze Amadi-Worenwu resorted to threatening him, his children, and his staff, urging urgent police intervention to prevent any potential harm from Eze Amadi-Worenwu.
At the time of filing this report, the arrested monarch was at the police custody.
